ERIN – Police are asking for help to identify two suspects involved in an ATM theft here on Friday. Wellington County OPP officials say at around 1:30am on Jan. 13 two suspects "attended a business on Main Street ... made entry, and stole an ATM" containing about $1,800.

ABOYNE – The cost to county taxpayers for policing is on the rise again in this year’s budget. Price tag expected to climb to $23.97 million in 2032.

ERIN – Police are looking for two suspects after a home invasion here on New Year's Day. "It was reported that two unknown persons attended the residence and stole approximately $350 worth of various items," police stated.

PUSLINCH – The OPP is investigating a serious collision here that left one driver with what police officials are calling "life-altering injuries."

MOUNT FOREST –  Police are investigating several potential hate crimes after swastikas were marked in the bathrooms at the library, arena and a restaurant here this week.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – One person is dead following a collision between an SUV and a transport truck here on Wednesday afternoon. It was the second fatal collision on Wellington County roads within three hours on Jan. 4.

PUSLINCH – One person is dead following a serious two-vehicle crash here on Wednesday. Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the scene on Wellington Road 32 south of Concession 4, southwest of Guelph, at about 12:17pm on Jan. 4.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – No one was seriously injured, but police responded to hundreds of calls across the county between Dec. 23 and 26, during what was likely the worst winter storm here in several years.

KENILWORTH – The former Sacred Heart School located at 9135 Highway 6 here could be demolished within the next few years, council heard at a Dec. 19 meeting.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Police have now charged a Toronto man with dangerous and impaired driving in connection with a serious snowmobile crash almost a year ago near Belwood.
