Police looking for information, suspects after Erin home invasion

ERIN – Police are looking for two suspects after a home invasion here on New Year’s Day.

Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to a house on First Avenue on the west side of Erin village on Jan. 1 at 8pm.

“It was reported that two unknown persons attended the residence and stole approximately $350 worth of various items,” police stated.

“The two occupants of the residence were home at the time of the incident. One occupant did receive minor injuries as a result of an altercation with the unknown persons.”

The OPP has described the suspects as follows:

  • suspect one: about 6’3″, 200 pounds, wearing a grey windbreaker style jacket, red ski mask, and dark sunglasses; and
  • suspect two: white male, thin build, deep voice, wearing dark clothing and a black ski mask.

“At this time, investigators believe this was a targeted incident and there is no threat to public safety,” police stated in a press release issued on Jan. 12, 11 days after the incident.
