MAPLETON – A Brampton man has been charged in connection with the death of a Kitchener teenager hit by a boat on Conestogo Lake last summer.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Public health has paused all first-dose COVID-19 vaccinations due to delivery delays, but officials say everyone who's received a first dose will receive their second shot prior to the 42-day deadline.

ELORA – A proposal for a 241-unit subdivision on a parcel of land along the Salem-Elora urban boundary has returned to council after first being presented in 2019. The proposal includes an apartment building, townhouses and single-detached homes, as well as parks, open space and storm water ponds.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – With the provincial government expanding its list of workers eligible for the Emergency School Age Child Care Program, the County of Wellington is reporting there are spaces available in the county and Guelph.

PALMERSTON – A Palmerston man faces 10 charges related to a series of sex-related offences involving multiple victims over a 12-year period.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Establishing community safety zones around the county will be considered as part of a roads master action plan, after a proposal to fast-track implementation of the traffic control measures failed to gain approval at the committee level.
