ERIN – Michael Dehn has defeated current councillor Rob Smith in the mayoral race in the Town of Erin. Dehn, who lost a close mayoral race in 2018 to Allan Alls, received 1,776 votes. Smith received 1,550 votes.

Chicken barn destroyed in weekend blaze
MINTO – A chicken barn was destroyed, but no animals were lost and no one was injured in a fire at a property on Wellington Road 6 on Oct. 22. Firefighters from Minto, Mapleton and Wellington North responded and were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings.
