WELLINGTON COUNTY – Local farmers’ markets have teamed up to bring a Market Box Series and the Taste Real Farmers’ Market Trail to the community. 

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Council here has approved a $1-million pavilion project that will include new public washrooms and other items at Rockmosa Park in Rockwood.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The local health unit has begun its regular mosquito larvicide program. Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health announced the start of the program, which will run until early October, in a press release on May 19.

ERIN – Council here is proceeding with a list of pre-qualified contractors for two phases of the town’s much-anticipated wastewater treatment plant.

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Councillor Mark Bouwmeester introduced a notice of motion on May 2 asking council to consider the idea of a pilot project to lower the speed limit from 50 to 40km/h along the entire length of MacLennan and Dunbar Streets.

PUSLINCH – Puslinch Township doesn’t believe the City of Guelph is taking its concerns seriously regarding the Clair-Maltby Secondary Plan and council passed a resolution at a May 11 special council meeting to reach out directly to Guelph councillors with their complaints.
