MAPLETON – Members of the public will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide proof of vaccination along with photo ID to enter municipal community centres in Mapleton as of Sept. 22. However the restriction will not apply to council meetings held in the venues.

MOUNT FOREST – Large trees and hydro lines were downed around northern Wellington during an early evening thunderstorm that included powerful winds, damaging hail and a confirmed EF1 tornado that tore a narrow swath of damage between Harriston and Kenilworth.
