WELLINGTON NORTH – Eighty cattle were lost and a large dairy barn destroyed in a fire here on July 31. Firefighters were called around 2:05am and the barn was “fully engulfed” when they arrived.

Groves hospital closing obstetrics department over long weekend
ABOYNE – Due to staff shortages, Groves Memorial Community Hospital is closing its obstetrics department over the long weekend. Obstetrics services will be redirected starting July 29 and will resume on Aug. 1 at 7am.
