WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) is reporting 23 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend (July 9 to 11). The region’s active case count now sits at 52, down from 59 cases on July 5.

COVID-19 outbreak declared over at Caressant Care Arthur
ARTHUR – With no active cases among residents or staff, the COVID-19 outbreak at Caressant Care Arthur is finally over. The long-term care outbreak, which infected 57 residents and 63 staff and led to 19 resident deaths, was declared over late in the day on March 2.
Inspection report shows Caressant Care Arthur didn’t cohort residents, staff
ARTHUR – A provincial long-term care home inspection report indicates Caressant Care Arthur failed to separate COVID-positive residents from others and also failed to cohort workers, which “put residents and staff at risk of further transmission” of the virus.
