ERIN – The Erin Agricultural Society held an in-person fall fair over the long weekend - the first in the region since the pandemic caused them all to be cancelled last year.

FERGUS – A Centre Wellington District High School student was sent to the hospital after being assaulted by a fellow student, the latest incident in what students and parents say is an escalating pattern of abuse and violence targeting the school's 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC and special needs students.

ABERFOYLE – For the second year in a row, the traditional Puslinch Santa Claus Parade will be replaced with “Santa’s Drive-Thru in Puslinch” due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will take place at the Puslinch Community Centre in Aberfoyle on Nov. 28 starting at 2pm.

ELORA – Back in June, Centre Wellington council directed staff to use a 2.4% inflation rate when putting together the 2022 draft budget. At the Oct. 4 committee of the whole pre-budget meeting, council learned it will be hard to hold the budget to that line.
