ATWOOD – One year after protesters in support of ending pandemic-related mandates and restrictions drove hundreds of vehicles through Perth and Wellington counties draped in Canadian flags with horns honking, People’s Party of Canada (PPC) Leader Maxime Bernier attended a gathering in Atwood.

ELORA – A group of anti-lockdown demonstrators contravened Elections Canada rules and had to be asked by police to leave during a weekend gathering at the Elora Community Centre, which served as an advance polling station.

MINTO – Climate change, international trade and rural broadband all figured prominently in discussion at a Perth-Wellington federal all-candidates meeting at Pike Lake Golf Centre on Oct. 9.

ROCKWOOD– The five federal election candidates in the Wellington-Halton Hills riding each pledged dedication to the prosperity of farmers at a meeting hosted by local federations of agriculture, but there were differences on how to achieve that goal.
