HARRISTON – A massive sports-themed mural on a downtown building here will be the Town of Minto’s latest public art project.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – More county residents are accessing support from local food banks this season, with all locations across the county reporting increased demand.

CLIFFORD - Minto Fire’s Clifford Station responded to report of a garage fire at a residence in Clifford around 9:30pm on Jan. 30. Firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming out of the roof of the structure, but occupants were out of the building and no injuries reported.

CLIFFORD - President Vic Palmer welcomed 25 members and guests to the Clifford and District Horticultural Society annual general meeting on Nov. 23 at the Clifford Community Centre.

MINTO – Council here is opposing removal of a section of the County of Wellington Official Plan that would prevent even minimal growth in existing rural settlements.

A public meeting was held Dec. 7 on an zoning amendment designed to bring Minto’s zoning bylaw into conformity with a recent County of Wellington official plan amendment.
