ERIN – A house east of Brisbane was destroyed fire last Friday. Firefighters from the Erin and Hillsburgh stations responded to a structure fire call on the 8th Line at about 10:30am on July 29.

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A Mississauga teenager has died following another "swimmer in distress" call at Guelph Lake. Emergency crews were called to an area near the island at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area on July 31 at 6:15pm.

PUSLINCH – The Old Marina Restaurant on Puslinch Lake was destroyed by fire on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters from Cambridge, Puslinch and North Dumfries responded to the blaze on McClintock Drive at around 12:45pm.

BELWOOD - Not long ago, Quincee, a four-year-old border collie, was in a forested site, sniffing the ground, helping investigators discover where a human body had been discarded 55 years ago.

ABOYNE – Due to staff shortages, Groves Memorial Community Hospital is closing its obstetrics department over the long weekend. Obstetrics services will be redirected starting July 29 and will resume on Aug. 1 at 7am.
