FERGUS – On Jan. 25 more than 80 people packed the clubhouse for Fergus Highland Rugby’s first-ever Robbie Burns night.

FERGUS – The combined team of Fergus Highland Rugby and Waterloo Country U14 girls went through the Rugby Ontario Junior Cup Tournament 4-0, outscoring their opponents 120-10 on Oct. 27. 

FERGUS – The Fergus Highland U16 girls rugby team won bronze after a match against Aurora at the Rugby Ontario Junior Cup tournament on Oct. 27.

FERGUS – On Oct. 27 the Fergus Highland U18 boys rugby team captured the Rugby Ontario Junior Cup for 7’s, marking a stellar end to its season.

FERGUS – The day will be about more than just rugby when the Fergus Highland Rugby Club hosts its annual “Club Day” on June 22 at Victoria Park.

FERGUS – Toronto musician Stephen Stanley and bandmate Chris Bennett return to Fergus for a concert at the Highland Rugby Club on Oct. 21.

ELORA – Michael Chapman, a local rugby player who has played for Team Canada and Ontario, is taking his next steps at Queen’s University, where he will play on their Golden Gaels Rugby Team.  

Fantastic season - Fergus Highland Rugby’s U13 Boys finished their season Aug. 17 to 18 at Fletchers Field in Markham, placing second in the provincial championship.

Members of the Fergus Highland Rugby U15 boys team competed on July 12 at the full-day Tsunami Great North 7’s tournament in Markham.

Four boys from the Fergus Highland Rugby Club have qualified and made the Ontario Provincial Rugby Team (Junior Blues) for the U15 Boys West Division.
