MAPLETON – Township council has agreed to cover a shortfall in funding for the Optimist Club of Alma incurred through operating the local community centre.

ALMA – Following a two-year hiatus, the return of the Alma Optimist Toy Show and Sale on March 13 was a resounding success, with funds raised going to support community organizations.

MAPLETON – Members of the public will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide proof of vaccination along with photo ID to enter municipal community centres in Mapleton as of Sept. 22. However the restriction will not apply to council meetings held in the venues.
