ALMA – The local Optimist club is gearing up for its first ever spring craft market.

The event is set for April 2 from 1 to 4pm at the Alma Community Centre.

Alma Optimist Club member Amanda Reid said the market will “showcase a number of local creators.

“This spring event will not disappoint with the lineup of vendors and artisans displaying their wares, from spring home decor, handcrafted greeting cards, wellness products and fresh baking to name just a few,” stated Reed.

She noted the purpose of the event is two-fold.

“To bring people in our community together and support local small home businesses.”

Reid stated there is “no better gathering space than the Alma Community Centre and no better way to welcome spring to our little town, then to see the buzzing of shoppers, and the sense of community.”

All proceeds from the event support children and families in the local community, “whatever the need,” Reid added.

Interested vendors are encouraged to email 1988avery@gmail.com.
