WELLINGTON NORTH - A 2022-23 funding application to the province's Connecting Link Program for money to resurface a portion of Smith Street (Highway 6) in Arthur has been denied. The province has suggested the township reapply in the next funding round.

Appreciation - Wellington North celebrated the hard work and dedication of its volunteers at a May 5 dinner held at the Arthur and Area Community Centre.

WELLINGTON NORTH - A nine-acre portion of agricultural land belonging to G and L White Farms Ltd. is being rezoned to rural industrial to allow for Wellington County to build a public works garage. The land is situated south of Wellington Road 109, along Wellington Road 12, in Wellington North.

WELLINGTON NORTH - Rumblings of exploring the cost of rehabilitating the old Lion Roy Grant pool were brought up at an April 25 Wellington North council meeting, but councillors have since decided to press onward with longstanding plans for a new outdoor pool.

WELLINGTON NORTH – Police are seeking help to identify the person(s) responsible for leaving a suspicious package at a home here. On May 5 at about 11:15pm, Wellington County OPP officers responded to a mischief complaint at a residence on Concession 9, west of Kenilworth.
