Chicken barn destroyed in weekend blaze
MINTO – A chicken barn was destroyed, but no animals were lost and no one was injured in a fire at a property on Wellington Road 6 on Oct. 22. Firefighters from Minto, Mapleton and Wellington North responded and were able to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings.

WELLINGTON NORTH - Planning staff advised council not to support an application from Red Maple Land Company seeking to sever designated prime agricultural property located at 8648 Highway 6 in Arthur, but in a rare move, the recommendation was defeated at an Oct. 11 meeting.
