MINTO – Town council has agreed to provide $10,000 to support the continuation of programming to combat isolation among senior citizens through the local Seniors Centre for Excellence.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) is reporting 26 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region over the Aug. 20 to 23 weekend – two in Wellington County, nine in Dufferin County and 12 in Guelph.

PALMERSTON – Emotions were running high on a beautiful night at the Barb Wright Ball Diamond in Palmerston on Aug. 19. A game between two of the Palmerston Marlins U19 softball teams was dedicated to Dean Fischer, a longtime parent and volunteer with the program who has been battling brain cancer.
