MINTO – Local minor hockey players and students at Palmerston Public School will be the beneficiaries of $12,000 raised at the 2021 Minto Mayor’s Golf Tournament.

GUELPH – The United Way of Guelph Wellington Dufferin kicked off its fundraising campaign with a flash mob. The event, on Sept. 15 outside Guelph’s city hall, attracted a small crowd and was also livestreamed.

PALMERSTON - Many of the surviving members of the 1962 to 1969 Palmerston Imperials softball team attended a ceremony on Sept. 11 to remember 13 teammates who have passed away.

HARRISTON - The Minto Arts Council is hosting its first show of the year at the Minto Art Gallery. Showcasing the Saugeen Artist Guild, the show is entitled Reflections from the Saugeen Artists Guild. 

MOUNT FOREST – Large trees and hydro lines were downed around northern Wellington during an early evening thunderstorm that included powerful winds, damaging hail and a confirmed EF1 tornado that tore a narrow swath of damage between Harriston and Kenilworth.
