Culture Days events continue throughout region this week

With Culture Days in full swing across Ontario, free events are being offered in Minto from October 1 to 3.

With with events ranging from youth theatre games night to a live bluegrass concert, organizers says there’s something for everyone.

Local residents are invited to bring their family to listen to live bluegrass, traditional country, and old time fiddle music at the pavilion at the Harriston-Minto Community Centre grounds at 111 George St S., Harriston on October 3 from 2 to 4pm

A celebration of Filipino Culture, with food and movies is set for Oct. 2 from 2 to 4pm at the Norgan Theatre on Main Street in Palmerston. Particpants can learn more about Filipino culture while enjoying food and a short film exploring the Philippines.

On Oct. 3 area farmers will showcase their vintage tractors and equipment at 10 designated tour sites, including the Palmerston arena, in Minto, Mapleton, and Howick.

Participants should download a tour map from the Palmerston Agricultural Society Facebook page. The event runs from 9am to 4pm.

The Grey-Wellington Theatre Guild is hosting a free outdoor youth theatre games night with all youth welcome to attend. Gather for the event at the Harriston Town Hall Theatre, 68 Elora St S., Harriston on Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 5:30 to 6:45pm.

The youth events will be followed by adult improv from 7:30 to 9pm, open to all adults.
