County awards bursaries, scholarships to 10 local students

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Ten local students will be receiving educational scholarships and bursaries from the County of Wellington based on academic achievement, community involvement, or financial need.

At the Sept. 30 meeting, county council awarded the students with $500 bursaries and scholarships to use toward their post-secondary school expenses.

The recipients are:

  • Lily Baker, Town of Erin;
  • Sydney Detweiler, Mapleton Township;
  • Abigail Liebregt, Township of Centre Wellington;
  • Danielle Bossie, Township of Wellington North;
  • Stephanie Davey, Township of Guelph/Eramosa;
  • Emily Milanovich, Mapleton Township;
  • Ian McConnell, Township of Wellington North;
  • Briana Ripley, Township of Guelph/Eramosa;
  • Natalie Miners, Township of Guelph/Eramosa; and
  • Kyla Soehner, Town of Minto.
