Terry Fox Run – The 39th Terry Fox Run was held in Erin on Sept. 18. It was the first in-person run since 2019. On hand were 46 participants and 12 volunteers from the Erin Optimists.

Productive pedalling – Roughly 50 cyclists turned out for the 5th annual Pedal for Portage event on Sept. 17, raising $28,000 for Portage, an organization that provides rehab for youth with addictions.

Lassies – Dancers from the Blue Bonnet Lassies School of Highland Dance participated in the Guelph WOHDA competition on Sept. 17.

FERGUS - Front-man Ron Hawkins and founding member Stephen Stanley from Canada’s legendary Indie band Lowest of the Low, and Chris Brown from Bourbon Tabernacle Choir are set to take the stage at Fergus Grand Theatre for one performance on Oct. 6.  

HILLSBURGH – It wasn’t the result she hoped for, but Holly Jacks and her British sport horse, Candy King did their country and community proud last weekend, competing in the Federation Equestre Internationale World Championships Eventing in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy.
