CENTRE WELLINGTON – The second annual Bikes and Blues Festival takes place Aug. 24 from 10am to 5pm at the Wellington County Museum and Archives, and on trails and roads around local waterways.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Members of the Centre Wellington chapter of La Leche League Canada met June 8 for a picnic and fundraising walk at the Wellington County Museum and Archives, raising $400 for the not-for-profit.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Teddy bears of all colours and sizes, and numerous other stuffed animal friends, accompanied youngsters to the Wellington County Museum and Archives for the annual Teddy Bear Picnic on June 22.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Jules and Monty Smith got the chance to play in the mud at the opening of the Wellington County Museum and Archives new exhibit, “Not Just Dirt: Digging into the Science of Soil,” on June 15.

NORMANDY – June 6 marks 80 years since Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to begin the liberation of western Europe. Nearly 150,000 troops, including more than 14,000 Canadians landed or parachuted into the area on the June 6, 1944 D-Day invasion, also called Operation Overlord.

ABOYNE – The 43rd edition of the Insights Art Exhibition opened on April 18 at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
