WELLINGTON COUNTY – As part of the province's plan to get students back on track after nearly two years of pandemic-related disruptions, both the Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board are receiving funding for tutoring support programs.

FERGUS – The provincial government has approved a proposal from the Upper Grand District School Board for a new elementary school expected to be located in north Fergus. Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece announced on Jan. 13 the province is providing $8.5 million for the new school.

GUELPH – The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) will be sending a letter to the province requesting several actions to ensure a safer return to in-person learning.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Following the provincial government’s decision to suspend COVID-19 case reporting in schools and child care settings, schools across the province have been left in the dark while they await further guidance from the province.
