WELLINGTON COUNTY – Faced with a lack of nursing staff trained in obstetrics care, North Wellington Health Care is halting obstetrics services at hospitals in Palmerston and Mount Forest from June 6 to at least Sept. 1.

ABOYNE – Mark Weidmark is surely on Santa’s nice list after winning not one but two prizes from the Rural Wellington Hospitals 50/50 draw and giving a good chunk of it to community organizations.

MINTO – The Town of Minto will spend just under $4.4 million on capital projects in 2022 if council approves the current budget draft. “Public works, that’s where the majority of it is,” said treasurer Gord Duff.
