FERGUS – Lions Clubs are known throughout Canada for providing guide dogs for those who are physically disabled.

FERGUS – The Fergus Lions Club hosted its annual Home and Leisure Show at the Fergus sportsplex  May 28.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – In April, the Wellington Advertiser organized a Community Cleanup Contest, inviting county residents and groups to make a difference in the community and show it off with pride.

FERGUS – Members of the Fergus Lions Club gathered at Reliable Ford on Dec. 14 to collect donated gift cards and toys that were delivered to Reliable Ford by community members over the past month as part of the Lions’ annual Christmas drive.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Fergus Lions Club donated $40,000 to the Groves Hospital Foundation at the club’s 45th annual Home and Leisure Show on May 28.

FERGUS – The 45th annual Fergus Lions Home and Leisure Show opened on Tuesday evening (May 28) at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex. The event continued May 29 and 30 at the Fergus sportsplex from 5:30 to 9:30pm.

FERGUS – The Fergus Lion’s Club’s Little Rocks ended their season with an awards banquet on March 24.

FERGUS – On March 19, the Fergus Lions Club donated $750 to the 492 Lorne Scots Air Cadets.

FERGUS – The Fergus Santa Claus Parade on Dec. 2 included floats from local churches, dance groups and businesses, followed by Santa Claus himself.

FERGUS – The Fergus Lions Club is back again with its 25th annual Christmas drive in support of the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

FERGUS – The morning of Nov. 13, Fergus Lions Club director and Diabetes Canada volunteer Brian Martin, alongside Ben Collings and Bob Zirk from the club, set up strings of blue Christmas lights behind the Fergus library for World Diabetes Day (WDD).
