Adopt-A-Family

GUELPH – The Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington currently has approximately 300 families still waiting to be adopted though its annual Adopt-A-Family support program.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – At the December meeting of 100 Women Who Care Rural Wellington, the winning charity was the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington and its Adopt-a-Family program. 

GUELPH – The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington’s Trees for Tots fundraiser gives trees a second life while raising funds for important programming. 

GUELPH – “This year, we’ve already received 1,464 family referrals from local social agencies,” said program director Megan Harron, and as of Nov. 27 there are 120 families who have not yet been matched with support. 

MINTO – Local residents Amy and Grant Habermehl have been recognized as “Community Champions” by the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.

GUELPH – Gifts are wrapped and heading out the door from Adopt-a-Family’s Guelph location to over 1,400 families in the city and Wellington County.  This year, Adopt-a-Family has seen more need, fewer donors, and “more folks struggling overall,” program manager Megan Harron said.

WELLINGTON COUNTY - Volunteers with the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington’s Adopt-a-Family program are busy matching over 1,300 families in need of helping hands and hearts to get presents under the Christmas tree this year.

PALMERSTON – North Wellington residents still have time to help out with the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington’s Christmas Adopt-a-Family program and contributions can be made locally.
