GUELPH – Local history will be told through theatrical performances, live music, film and animation during the Speed River Anthology. 

MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Aquatics Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee says the Township of Southgate has committed $250,000 towards the construction of the new Mount Forest outdoor pool.

KENILWORTH – A new garage with a residential unit above it will be permitted in Mount Forest, although the building will be taller than what’s usually allowed.

Pride – It was all sunshine and rainbows in Palmerston on June 8, as the community gathered to celebrate this year’s Pride in the Park event at Lions Heritage Park. The free event featured craft vendors, a variety of food, free crafts and activities, as well as special performances and live music.

Outdoors show – The fourth annual Drayton Kinsmen Outdoors Show was held on June 7 at the PMD Arena, just in time for those who enjoy activities during the warmer months.

KENILWORTH – New pig barns on two different farms will be built closer to their neighbours than is normally allowed. The proposed locations for each barn do not meet the minimum distance separation (MDS) from the nearest dwellings.

MOUNT FOREST – The Wellington North Farmers’ Market is gearing up for the 2025 season, which gets underway on June 14 at a new location.
