WELLINGTON NORTH – How much Wellington North councillors and the mayor earn remains unchanged after a market review, and salary increases will be capped at 4% due to rising inflation.

WELLINGTON NORTH - The Township of Wellington North is extending an agreement with the City of Guelph to provide bylaw enforcement services for an additional six months beyond an initial one-year trial period.

MAPLETON – Classroom environments may look very different to today’s seniors, but the key lessons they’ve learned in life will now be part of the curriculum for students in Teszalyn Roantree’s grade 4/5 class at Maryborough Public School. 

MOUNT FOREST – An incredibly surprised Tori van Tol was awarded a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medal at the school on Nov. 8 in recognition of her recent act of heroism. Last month she pulled a crash victim from their vehicle just before it burst into flames.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Communities across the county took time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in war on Nov. 11.

MOUNT FOREST – Remembrance Day will be marked at schools across Wellington County. 

MINTO – The Minto Selects are on top of the broomball world. The team won the Men’s division at the World Broomball Championships held in Kingston from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5.

ARTHUR – The Arthur Chamber of Commerce presented its 2022 community awards to recipients at the Arthur Legion on Oct. 19.
