Elora Karate Dojo wins 16 awards

A karate dojo here won 16 prizes at the 30th Annual CNGK Championship on April 12.

Elora Karate Dojo co-sponsored the event on behalf of Kyoshi J. Purdy, the tournament founder. The tournament was held in the Elora Public School.

The opening ceremonies included a presentation to Purdy in recognition of his leadership in the art of karate in the Elora community for the past three decades.

Sensei Barb Lamble, head sensei of Elora Karate Dojo, helped to organize the event in partnership with Elmira Karate Dojo, operated by Kyoshi Purdy’s most senior student, Renshi Mike Robertson.
