DUENK, John
Of Palmerston passed away peacefully at the Royal Terrace Nursing Home, Palmerston on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 in his 78th year. Dear son of the late Johan and Aleida Duenk. Cherished brother of Lydia and Dick Wassink of R.R. # 2 Palmerston and Johanna and John Allison of Gore Bay, Manitoulin Island. John will be missed by his nieces and nephews April Wassink, Philip and Laura Wassink, Angela Wassink, Alisha Allison and Michael and Annie Allison. Great uncle of the late Jonathon, Jade, Kate, Jack, Lance, Heidi and Theodore. To honour John’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family invites friends to a casual afternoon at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
