GASS, Muriel Kathleen

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Muriel Gass on August 6th, 2026. Muriel slept peacefully away into the arms of God at Wellington Terrace Long-Term Care Home. Muriel was born on September 26th, 1934 and remained a lifelong resident of Fergus. She is predeceased in death by her parents Melville and Catherine Alexander, her husband Gordon (2021) and her brother Donald Alexander (2024). Muriel was the much loved mother and constant champion of her son Kevin Gass. She will be loved and remembered forever by Kevin and his fiancée Elsie and step daughter Kristal. She will also be deeply missed by sister in law Shirley Alexander, many friends and family. It is with great appreciation that we remember how Muriel was cared for so kindly and with ongoing dignity by the staff and medical team at Wellington Terrace Long-Term Care Home. Cremation has taken place. A joint celebration of life for Gordon and Muriel will be held at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home at 280 St. David St. S. Fergus (519-843-3100), on Monday August 31th, 2026. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00am - 11:45am with the celebration of life at 12:00pm. Reception in the Wellington Room to follow (Elevator Access is available). Burial to be held at Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus. Memorial contributions to The Gideons International or Groves Memorial Community Hospital to honor Muriel’s life can be made as expressions of sympathy.
