PONSONBY – The Minto Crush U13 Boys capped their 2026 fastball season with an undefeated weekend to capture the Intercounty Softball Association U13 Boys “A” Championship.

The four teams played a three-game round robin on Aug. 15. Minto opened the tournament with a 10-0 win over Ponsonby Green before battling to a 10-4 victory over Drayton-Moorefield in game two. Trailing 3-2 in the third, the Crush scored three runs before adding four more in the fourth to pull away.

Minto’s offence came alive in game three, scoring five runs in both the second and third innings en route to an 11-3 win in five innings over Puslinch. The victory gave Minto a perfect 3-0 round robin record and a spot in Sunday’s championship game against Drayton-Moorefield.

The Crush trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the fourth in the final before breaking through. With the bases loaded, Jordan Marcoux singled home Preston Brooks and Rylan Koeslag to give Minto a 3-2 lead.

Wyatt Schiestel followed with a two-run single, while Jacob Zettler later drove in Nolan Hummel to extend the lead to 6-2.
