GUELPH – Power and wisdom will be showcased at an Indigenous-focused poetry event here on June 17, with “something unique to be gained for those who are willing to listen,” said poet Mike O’dah Ziibing Ashkewe.  

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Road signs promoting Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) are being replaced as part of a new campaign. 

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Environment Canada has issued a special air quality alert for Wellington County, and much of southern Ontario, due to smoke plumes from Quebec and northeastern Ontario. "High levels of air pollution have developed due to smoke from forest fires," the June 7 alert states.

GUELPH - On June 2, Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) hosted the first Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers conference since 2019.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Arthur Animal Rescue Cooperative (AARC) has rescued more than 1,200 cats since launching in 2015 – plus a horse, a beaver, a dog, and a few rabbits and squirrels.
