MINTO – Town council has endorsed a call from the Minto Chamber of Commerce for Westario Power Inc. to address concerns about frequent power outages in the western portion of Harriston.
Masks again required at Wellington County hospitals
WELLINGTON COUNTY – Due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases, masks will once again be required at all three hospitals in the county. Officials are asking visitors to be kind to health care workers, "especially when they ask you to wear a mask."
Minto council approves installation of Pride banners

Palmerston Terry Fox Run
PALMERSTON – The Palmerston Terry Fox Run kicked off on the morning of Sept. 17 with a running and walking route around town. The event reached its 2023 goal of $5,000 and the total funds raised will be announced later this week. The Palmerston Terry Fox Run has now raised over $150,000 since 1982.
Drayton Terry Fox Run
MAPLETON — The Drayton Terry Fox Run was on Sept. 17 with the option to bike, walk or run. The event began at 1:30pm at the Drayton Agricultural Hall with routes of 2km, 5km and 10km. Water stations were also located along the routes. Musical entertainment and food were available while participants
