Arthur resident facing 21 charges after ramming cruisers
WELLINGTON NORTH – A 59-year-old Arthur resident allegedly drove a farm implement at OPP officers, striking several hydro poles and three police vehicles last week. There were no injuries reported.

Police arrived to find a person “operating a farm implement.”
After the person caused what police say is significant damage, they “eventually dismounted” and officers “detected signs of impairment.”
“The individual was transported to the Wellington County OPP detachment in Teviotdale where they refused to provide breath samples to police,” police said.
The person, who police have not identified, was criminally charged with five counts of assaulting police, five counts of assault with a weapon, seven counts of property mischief, two counts of domestic mischief, a count of dangerous operation and a count of refusing to provide a breath sample.
The person was held pending a Guelph bail hearing.
