MOUNT FOREST – Wellington Heights Secondary School held its prom on May 24 at the Mount Forest Sports Complex.

MOUNT FOREST – The Wellington Heights Secondary School Ultimate Frisbee team placed first in their tournament on May 17.

MOUNT FOREST – Wellington Heights Secondary School performed a Zombie Prom musical on May 30, 31, and June 1.

MOUNT FOREST – The future of the Mount Forest air cadets squadron is up in the air. The squadron was notified last November it was being placed on probation because of low participation numbers and a need for more adults to help run the program.

MOUNT FOREST– Wellington Heights Secondary School will be producing the off-broadway musical Zombie Prom written by John Dempsey and Hugh Murphy, and composed by Dana P. Rowe.

WELLINGTON NORTH – Wellington Heights Secondary School physical education department head Rob Drost, along with phys-ed teachers Bridget Kosempel and Matt McFarlane, coordinated borrowing of wheelchairs for the purpose of teaching their physical education students the sport of wheelchair basketball.

MOUNT FOREST – Students and teachers at Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest wore pink to school on Feb. 28 in recognition of Pink Shirt Day and to show solidarity against bullying.

MOUNT FOREST – The Wellington Heights Secondary School Senior Girls volleyball team, coached by Ms. Kosempel and Ms. Topham, had a very successful season, finishing fourth this year with six wins and four losses
