WELLINGTON COUNTY – Following the provincial government’s decision to suspend COVID-19 case reporting in schools and child care settings, schools across the province have been left in the dark while they await further guidance from the province.

MOUNT FOREST - Local resident and longtime Wellington Heights Secondary School teacher Dave Griffiths has retired after decades of putting kids first in experiential education.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – As of Dec. 23, there are 106 active cases of COVID-19 reported at schools across the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) region and five Guelph schools are closed.

GUELPH – Less than four months after retiring as director of education with the Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB), Martha Rogers has died. Rogers, 73, passed away peacefully at her Elora home over the weekend.

WELLINGTON COUNTY - Ontario's Ombudsman received 43 cases, involving both complaints and inquiries, surrounding Wellington County municipalities and organizations for the 2020-21 fiscal year.
