HARRISTON – On May 14, the Harriston Legion Catch the Ace committee presented a $6,000 cheque to Minto-Clifford Public School.

HARRISTON – Members of the Harriston Legion Branch 296 presented a cheque for $20,000 to Mark Leslie and Dan Hill, members of the Palmerston Hospital MRI Fundraising committee, and Dale Franklin, Development Officer for Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation.

GUELPH – Parents, teachers and children cheered from the sidelines while athletes from across Wellington County's two school boards sprinted down a track, tossed balls into nets, and swung baseball bats at a Special Olympics Track and Field Day on May 15.

MINTO – Members of both the Harriston Legion and the Palmerston Legion recently presented cheques to Minto-Clifford Public School for its student Lunch Program.

PALMERSTON – It was no surprise that on a dreary rainy day, the sun shone brightly just as the Blessings to You Centre volunteers presented a cheque for $10,000.

PALMERSTON – SE Health, a national not-for-profit social enterprise, recently hosted Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae at the Minto Rural Health Clinic and Minto-Clifford Public School to highlight the critical community health services SE Health provides to Minto residents. 

Lighting it up – Harriston Rising’s Let’s Light it Up event on Dec. 10 drew a crowd downtown for a festive evening.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – School board officials say "targeted hate crimes" like the recent vandalism of Pride flags at local schools can negatively affect learning and make some students feel unwelcome and unsafe.

MINTO - Every day there are many families that struggle to make ends meet and children who start their day going to school hungry.
