MINTO – Town council has endorsed a call from the Minto Chamber of Commerce for Westario Power Inc. to address concerns about frequent power outages in the western portion of Harriston.

HARRISTON – Linda Campbell, who recently made her 150th blood donation, is urging others to give the "gift of life" whenever they can. 

MINTO – Two vehicles believed to be involved in the murder of a Kitchener man last seen alive in Harriston over four years ago have been recovered by the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). 

HARRISTON – A wily hog  has been on the loose in the west end of town here for a full week. Two pigs escaped while being unloaded by a Durham area farmer at Harriston Packers on Arthur Street on Aug. 14. 

HARRISTON – Members of a Midget softball team that captured an All-Ontario championship in 1963 gathered here on Aug. 12 to share memories of the achievement.

MINTO – Five cattle were killed as fire destroyed a barn southeast of Clifford on Saturday night. Everyone in the building "got out safely and no injuries were reported," a press release states.

HARRISTON – A summer street festival from sun-up to well after sun-down is set to take place on Aug. 12 in downtown Harriston.

MINTO – Municipal staff members are preparing a report in response to a request from the Minto Pride committee seeking the town’s help in setting up more durable decorations during Pride Month.

MINTO – Four years after the abduction and death of a Kitchener man, the OPP continues to investigate the incident as a homicide and is asking the public for assistance.
