MAPLETON – Council here has agreed to share a fire services management team with two other north Wellington municipalities.

MINTO – Town council has adopted a strategic plan to guide the municipality through to 2028. Goals laid out in the plan focus on infrastructure maintenance, enhancing local quality of life, fostering an inclusive community and providing responsible government.

CLIFFORD – The Minto-Mapleton Family Health Team (MMFHT) will be able to provide primary health care to hundreds of additional residents after receiving more than a half-million dollars in provincial funding to add two nurse practitioners, a practical nurse and a receptionist to the team’s roster.

MINTO – Town council has approved two signage grants through the municipality’s Community Improvement Program (CIP) to assist a local charitable enterprise with its expansion plans.

HARRISTON – Recently retired after nearly 50 years in veterinary medicine, Dr. Terry Fisk has no doubts about his chosen career path. “The only thing I ever wanted to be was a veterinarian," he said.

HANOVER – Lita Ernest, a young member of 1st Hanover Guides, worked hard this season to organize the packing of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoe box gifts with her troop.

MINTO – The Town of Minto will ask the Ontario government to leave a recent expansion of the Clifford Urban boundary in place.

MINTO – Water and sewage system capacity in some areas of Minto may not be sufficient to handle rapid growth without future upgrades, council here has learned.

HARRISTON – The Grey Wellington Theatre Guild is bringing a heartwarming Christmas comedy, set to seasonal music, to the stage at the Harriston Town Hall Theatre.

MINTO – Façade improvement grants have been approved by town council for two buildings in downtown Harriston. 

MINTO – Town council has authorized staff to proceed with an application for provincial Connecting Link funding for reconstruction work on Arthur Street West in Harriston. 

PALMERSTON – The Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation (PDH) is holding its third annual Takeout Dinner fundraiser Oct. 27 to 29.
