Pep rally encouraged school spirit at Centre Wellington District High School

Pep rally – Centre Wellington District High School held a pep rally on Nov. 21. Organized by the athletic council, the entire school was invited to participate. Current high school sports teams were showcased, including the hockey teams, volleyball teams and basketball teams. Students, athletes and teachers danced, cheered and played some games to get the school’s hockey teams pumped up for afternoon hockey games. One of the pep rally games was for teams throw Cheerios at teacher’s faces that were covered in shaving cream.

Students were invited to attend the boys and girls hockey teams playing regular season games at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus. The boys hockey team lost against Orangeville in overtime 4-3 and the girls team defeated Centennial 2-1. Both teams are currently first place overall.
