New location for Centre Wellington tourist information services

It’s a new year, and its a fresh start for the Township of Centre Wellington’s Tourist Information Services, as they begin 2016 in their new home at 10 Mill Street East in Elora.

The new office opened its doors to visitors and residents on Jan. 2.

“This is very exciting for all of us here at tourist information services,” said tourism marketing coordinator Deb Dalziel.

“We will be offering the public a one stop shop where they can easily find information about our amazing community and all of the fantastic events that we are a part of, and take place here in Centre Wellington.  Stop in and say hi, we are looking forward to serving the residents and visitors of our community.”

For the past seven years, Tourism had leased the location at 9 Mill St. E.

The move across the street was initiated when the township purchased the property at 10 Mill St. E., the original Elora hydro station and office two years ago.

The newly renovated location will provide staff the ability to provide their same great service and a wealth of community information in an updated township-owned facility with accessible washrooms.
