HILLSBURGH – The Hillsburgh Station 50 Firefighters’ Association hosted its annual garage sale at the Hillsburgh arena last weekend.

ERIN – The Hillsburgh Erin and District Soccer Club (HEADS) hosted its 12th annual “HEADS Up Cup” soccer tournament at Barbour Field recently.

ERIN – The Ross Ferguson Squadron 242 Erin Air Cadets held their 21st annual review ceremony at Centre 2000 on June 4.

ERIN – Firefighters held a live training session at the Town of Erin public works yard on June 8.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing in Normandy, which took place on June 6th, 1944, and stands as the most challenging operation in Canada’s military history, a commemorative presentation was hosted by the Erin Legion at McMillan Park.

ERIN – The Erin Farmers’ Market is reopening for its 12th season on June 20.

ERIN – Longtime Erin resident Christina Costa says the handling of a trail near Centre 2000 is an example of how municipal officials are “ruining” the town “to appease new people.” 

ERIN – More than 20 farms and a variety of prepared food vendors and artisans are expected to bring their wares to the Erin Farmers’ Market this season.

ERIN – Erin Garden Club members spent hours sprucing up McMillan Park garden beds last week, in anticipation of their popular plant sale fundraiser, held last Saturday, offering deals on annuals and perennials.

ERIN – Erin Pride 2024 is a family-focused event set for June 22 at McMillan Park from 11am to 8pm. “We can actually all stand up in that park and look around and see we are not alone," said organizer Laura Bannayan.
