FERGUS – On Sept. 30, the Probus Club of Centre Wellington celebrated 30 years in Fergus at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Sept. 27, Mayor Shawn Watters presented the Tree of the Year sash to a Manitoba maple at 22 York Street that nearly didn’t survive a sidewalk construction project in 2022.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Multiple people were injured in a serious three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 6 and Wellington Road 22 on Monday.

ELORA – Centre Wellington Mayor Shawn Watters held a town hall meeting in Elora on Oct. 6 so residents could voice their concerns and boy, did he get an earful.

FERGUS - Fergus high school student and para swimmer Austin Nelissen broke a personal best and provincial record, securing a first-place finish in the 400-metre freestyle race at the Canadian Swimming Championships in Quebec in August.
