Local Army Cadets conduct field training
Cadet training - 1943 Army Cadet Battery conducted some field training on Oct. 17. Training included camping, learning how start stoves and lanterns, knots and lashing as well as biathlon training. New cadets, Cyrus Dobson of Palmerston, left and Alex Halley of Palmerston work on target shooting. Cadet Halley’s first seven targets were bulls-eyes, notes Captain Bill Dobson.
