Four new electric vehicle charging stations installed in Mapleton
MAPLETON – Electric vehicle drivers can now charge up in Mapleton.
“The Township of Mapleton is excited to announce the installation of four Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations throughout the municipality,” states a June 14 press release from the township.
Mayor Gregg Davidson stated “here in Mapleton, we are embracing the future of transportation and delivering on our climate goals.
“Through a partnership with (electric vehicle charging company) FLO, residents and visitors now have four new electric vehicle charging station locations available in Mapleton to top up their vehicle,” the mayor added.
Charging station users will be charged $1 per hour of charging through an FLO app on smartphones.
The charging stations can be found at:
- Alma Community Centre, 51 Simpson Street East, Alma;
- Maryborough Community Centre, 15 Ball Avenue, Moorefield;
- Mapleton municipal administrative office, 7275 Sideroad 16, Drayton; and
- PMD Arena, 68 Main Street West, Drayton.
