Fergus BIA annual meeting Oct. 29

Get involved in downtown Fergus.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Fergus Business Improvement Area (BIA) Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Stone Gable Hall, at 181 St Andrew Street East, from 7-9pm.

Come and hear what the local BIA has been up to. This is a very important meeting as we will be holding elections for the seven board member positions this year. Please take some time to consider whether you are interested in throwing your hat in the ring, or would like to nominate someone.

“The past four years have been action packed and we are proud of what we have accomplished,” stated Jackie Fraser, outgoing BIA Chair.  “The ‘Lighting of the Grand’, initiating the Riverwalk beautification project as part of the Fergus library expansion, new website and enhanced social media presence, new banners, Christmas lighting, St David Street bridge flowers, and other beautification projects will remain as part of our legacy.  We are also proud to have established the Easter Saturday Hippity Hop and Christmas Tree Lighting as new annual family traditions in downtown Fergus.”

This is a great opportunity to catch up with your fellow downtown business community and get involved in downtown Fergus.

The Fergus BIA is a volunteer board of downtown property owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals passionate about the future of downtown Fergus.  The BIA derives its income from special tax levies downtown property owners pay in addition to regular property taxes.
