Pharmasave Ontario recently presented the 2015 Rookie of the Year award to Elora Apothecary owners Bronwyn (nee Williams) and Andrew Tolmie. This husband and wife team, having relocated back to their community and completed an extensive renovation of a downtown retail space, are thrilled to receive this recognition.
Their vision has always been to open up an “apothecary” that was fashioned after what one used to expect from the community drugstore.
Along with Pharmacist Heidi May and Pharmacy Technician Julia Jennings, Andrew & Bronwyn’s focus has been on traditional elements of pharmacy care such as compounding, naturals, and true community based patient education.
In just one year the team at Elora Apothecary has been highly involved in their community with pharmacy-based flu shot clinics, home visits, patient and health care professional education sessions, and several team sponsorships.
Growing on their success and with the expertise of pharmacy technician Julia Jennings, Elora Apothecary has been able to expand their home health care offering and implement the highly successful Ideal Protein Weight Loss Program. The pharmacy has had a very successful first year, and Bronwyn, Andrew, Heidi, and Julia look forward to continued growth as they care for their community.
