Deputy environmental commissioner to speak to Gravel Watch

Ellen Schwartzel, the Deputy Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, will be the keynote speaker at Gravel Watch Ontario’s Public Meeting, Sept. 13 at 7pm at the Puslinch Community Centre in Aberfoyle.

The timing and content of this presentation should be outstanding.

Several contentious aggregate pit and quarry applications pending throughout Ontario, and Nestlé’s controversial permit to take water renewal at its Aberfoyle site is making headlines throughout the region.

These issues highlight just a few of the areas in which the Environmental Commissioner’s Office is engaged.

This is anticipated to be an entertaining, informative and timely presentation.
